Now it’s time to decide who enforces justice.

Marin County Seniors for Peace is launching the 2026 Sheriff Candidate Selection Committee — an open, democratic organizing process to identify, vet, and support a Sheriff candidate who reflects our community’s values of peace, accountability, and compassion.

This is not just about one race — it’s about transforming local power.

We’re calling together women, elders, faith leaders, activists, and civic organizations from across Marin to take the lead in shaping public safety from the ground up.

Our Goals:

🔍 Identify potential candidates who support transparency, reform, and humane policing
🗣️ Host public forums and listening sessions with community members and local leaders
🧭 Develop a shared platform rooted in nonviolence, justice, and senior safety
✍️ Coordinate with Marin County Democrats to ensure an endorsed progressive sheriff candidate
⚖️ Build an independent base of voters ready to organize, advocate, and win
